Limo Fun Fact!

Did you know that Limousines were the First cars to adapt the Air Conditioning?

A modern air conditioning was first build by a New York based The Packard Motor Car Company. The first conditioners were built in 1939 for the New York and Chicago limousines and luxury automobiles.

The first car with air conditioning was released the next year, 1940 with a build in conditioning system. Air conditioning was optional - it cost additional $274 if the clients choose to install it. The system, however, was not very efficient, it took about half the space in the trunk and did not have a way to measure the temperature.

Air conditioners were installed into the luxury limousines around 20 years before the mass production of the sedan cars!
